Having an aggressive dog is not only a problem to the dog owner, but also to other people. You will never know when your dog may attack or injure someone. In fact, dog aggression can result in injuries and even deaths of innocent people, and there are many laws and by-laws that are imposed to punish dog owners whose dogs are guilty of physical assault. |

A bloodhound and mastiff mix. Can you imagine? These beautiful mastiff dogs can sniff out something as well as being as gentle as possible. They are originally from Brazil and have the original name of Fila Brasileiro. When they were first around, they were made to watch out for the plantations, then they were later brought to the United States by a group called the Conquistadors. |

I recently read an article about a Dog Day Care who had the unfortunate experience of a dog escaping the facility in the middle of the day and no one noticed. At the end of the day, the dog's owners (brand new to this daycare) returned to pick up their dog andno dog. The article did not provide any information if there was a happy ending to the story - so we don't know if Fido returned home. But what the article did share was that - after the fact - the owners told the day care that the dog was a fence climber. Everyone assumed the little guy (Beagle) climbed the six foot fence and was gone before anyone noticed the escape. |
