Feeling tense and anxious even though there's nothing to worrying about is Generalized Anxiety Disorder. Many people experience it for some time, but if it lingers in the background most of the time; it's time to think of it.

Usually you suffer from GAD (Generalized Anxiety Disorder) if you have monitory problems, health problems, or family problems.

Nevertheless, there's nothing to worry about much. You have good remedy for the generalized anxiety disorder. And it is known as 'Cognitive Behavioral Therapy' (CBT).

CBT is a straight-forward therapy. It makes you alert and check your self-defeating ways of thinking. CBT teaches you to change your negative thinking patterns and behavior.

You will discover strange and continuous inner self talk. Then, without involving with the thought flow, you should observe your thoughts. This is the basic and vital step you need to take. Then anxiety doesn't scare you.

Now, let's look at a situation to understand how you can interpret it: You were unhappy with the day because things didn't turn up as you wished. So you went out to buy something. Then, accidentally, you saw your friend passing by in front of you. How will you react to this?

If you think your friend has completely ignored you and he/she doesn't like you, you are thinking negative. When you think this negative way, you feel very sad and dejected. And the immediate physical responses are low energy, stomach cramps and feeling sick etc.

Unlike that, if you think- he might be busy or he didn't notice you, you can remain cool. This is positive perception. You won't feel any anxiety or stress with this positive look.

Like this, you may discover two perceptions for every incident or situation. The perception you hold decides your state of mind. If you take the situation negatively, you'll feel anxiety. And if you have positive perception, you'll remain cool.

Finally, follow the Cognitive Behavior Therapy and cure your Generalized Anxiety Disorder permanently!
