A face lift is famous medical surgery that intends to bring youthful appearance back into a person's face. A facelift stretches the skin and removes excess skin, and it repositions saggy facial tissues. This procedure has been done for more than a hundred years, and is one of the most famous beauty surgical procedures done today.
Despite its fame, most people hesitate to undergo a face lift. Aside from the long recovery period and the painful side effects, another one of the most prominent reasons to avoid it is the cost of a face lift. It's not exactly a budget-friendly procedure. There are many factors that affect the cost of face lifts, including the surgeon, the region, the type, and the extent of the procedure.
Facelifts generally priced at around $6000 to $15,000 in the United States, which is not cheap by any means. If the patient chooses to have several facelift procedures simultaneously, the total cost can balloon up to $20,000 to $25,000. The price of facelifts are directly related to the difficulty of the procedures and the type of medical instruments used for the procedures. So if you're planning to get an extensive plastic surgery, expect to pay an amount which is equal to the price of a brand new car.
Surgeons provide cheaper alternative treatments for those with modest budgets. Botox, an injectable facelift procedure, costs about $400 to $500 per session. The slightly more complex Thermage is priced at around $1000 to $5000. You can settle for these types of treatments if you are altering a few minor features on your face.
Evidently, beauty yields a high price price with facelifts. Better get an exceptional plastic surgeon, otherwise you can end up looking like a Halloween mask after you practically throw away thousands of dollars.
