You can get the most out of your Topless Sandals by complying with a few important instructions that do not necessarily come with the shoes. Mycoolfeet.com does provide a detailed instruction sheet when you purchase directly from them.
by GrantBearden After many times of wearing the sandals, you may have to reactivate the adhesive. To do this, use a soft scrub brush on the shoes with soap and water and let air dry or use a blow dryer. Make sure you don't scrub too vigorously. When you first get the shoes, they will have a plastic covering that must be removed before use. Save them because they can be used to protect the shoes for storage in your closet, car or suitcase for vacation. This plastic film will keep them from sticking to other things. Saran wraps and wax papers will only damage the sandals so do not use anything else to protect them. Some people have a tendency to stick the sandals face to face, if you do so, it may rip the adhesive from both sandals. If they do get stuck face to face, put them under warm water and slowly work apart with soap. It some situations, they may not come loose and the shoe will be damaged. The sandal and your foot must be clean and dry. If you have extremely sweaty feet, or if it's not sticking well enough, cleaning your feet with alcohol prior to use can help. The alcohol will provide a super bond to your foot. If the weather forecast rain for the day, you may want to take along a spare pair of regular shoes. If they get soaked, they can come completely off your feet. If they come off in a few places, they will restick to your feet as they dry, but stepping in puddles of water is not a good idea. If you are around a pool try dipping the sandals in the pool water, the chlorine causes the adhesive to stick even better! Wear them inside the pool. When they come off, place them in the sun to dry. When you get out of the pool water, you must dry off thoroughly before you step on the shoe. Any dripping water from your swim suit can prevent the shoe from staying on. When the shoes have been worn for awhile, it is normal for the adhesive to bead up on the sandal. It will not affect the ability of the shoe to stick to your feet. If you have dogs or cats, please keep the shoes away from them, as they will love to chew on the Topless sandals. It is important that you protect your shoes so that you will enjoy them for years to come. Foot Jewelry and other accessories are also available to be worn with the Topless Sandals.
