If you are starting to think about how to create the most romantic evening imaginable, you are already doing the right thing. The key to romance is planning and preparation. So if you are "plotting" to surprise your sweetheart with an evening she will always remember, the more time you have to prepare the better.

Don't feel bad if great ideas for how to make her romantic night perfect don't naturally come to you. But do get busy by going to the people who use romance for a living to steal a lot of their ideas. Those writers who crank out romantic Hollywood movies one after the other have plenty of ideas you can have for nothing. All you have to do is just start watching the movies that everybody raves about as romantic classics and keep your note file growing and you will hit a gold mine of ideas.

However, if you are clever, you can take those good ideas you get from Hollywood and make them great ideas. You can actually harvest right from the heart of your lover the kinds of Hollywood romance that gets her motor running just by paying attention. How many times have you had to sit through yet another romantic thriller or comedy with your gal? Well instead of just riding it out, take note when your gal gets emotional over the romance on the screen. By making mental note of those glamorous movie moments she responds to, you can put together a pretty impressive list to use when you start planning the most romantic date ever to spring on your lover.

At the heart of any romantic date are some slam dunk ideas that will always make her sit up and take notice. And what makes any slam dunk dating idea work is surprise. By springing something new and fun on her that you have never done before, she will be all about you all night long. Don't rule anything out from a completely new restaurant to a romantic picnic on the beach to a shared reading of poetry. Of course, flowers are always an old standby and the flower retailers thank God for that. But even something tried and true like flowers can be used in a new way. How about you deliver the flowers yourself to the place you are going to eat. Don't let any detail escape your notice to make your girl the queen of your world for the few hours of your date. Do the little romantic things like hold her door open, kiss her hand, keep the adoring remarks flowing and demand all of her attention back as well. The fact that you want the world to melt away and you two to be all about each other will be things she will never forget about this most perfect romantic evening.

Amazingly, there are lots of romantic details you can include in your plans that done mean spending an arm and a leg. All you have to do is read ads from women looking for men to see that it's the simple things like walking hand in hand in the moonlight or cuddling in a romantic setting that create the kind of romance she will write her mother about.

But there is a carefully guarded secret that romantic Casanovas know that doesn't cost a dime because you already own it. That is to give to your lover a little bit of yourself. Anybody can give a girl an evening of events but if you give her a little time to get to know the real you, that is what touches a woman deepest. Open up to her who you really are and what makes you tick inside. Let her see your emotions and areas where you are vulnerable and she will blossom like a flower in front of you.

The result will be that she will naturally open her heart to you and that trust that builds a great romance will be born. And what may surprise you the most is that while you are giving her a night like she has never experienced before, it will be the same amazing experience for you as you both fall hopelessly in love on this magical date.
