The teenage dating world is a tough world. But I have written a guide that will help you succeed in this world! I have spent a lot of time talking to other teenagers who either are facing, or have faced, the same problems that you are right now. This guide is based on my own personal experiences, as well as those of the other teens I have talked to. This guide is not a 'magic fix'. But it will help you learn how to deal with the important issues that you are facing. With a little time and effort, you will find it much easier to get into the dating scene!

One of the most common questions I get asked is, "What if I like someone who doesn't like me back?" It isn't possible to make someone love you. That's part of the mystery of love-it comes about almost magically. Being in a situation like this is very hard to deal with and we've all been there. We have a huge crush on someone who doesn't even know we exist. But spending all your time obsessing about something you can't control will only leave you exhausted and will make finding the person of your dreams even more difficult.

The first thing you need to do is recognize that the hurtful feelings you're experiencing now will gradually fade away, especially when you move on and find someone special who loves you for who you really are. Someday you'll remember this painful memory and smile because you'll realize that you hadn't yet met that special person and you were getting upset over nothing. It's all about knowing that things unfold in their own time and what seems like the end is only the beginning of something magical.

We all experience the teenage stage when we are overly emotional and become jealous of other people. This isn't really such a bad thing. If you're in a relationship and the person you're seeing is constantly looking at other people, don't make a snap judgment and end the relationship. Yes, your irritation is justified, but you need to express it to your partner. Good communication between two people is essential to a great relationship.

If you are hit by the jealousy bug, that's fine. We've all been there; but it's irrational jealousy that hurts us which is very different. This can lead to paranoia and constant worrying over whether not your partner is cheating. Although we all worry about these kinds of things in relationships, letting it rule your life is very unhealthy and can wreck the entire relationship itself. Ask yourself whether the jealousy you feel is justified or not.

In the beginning it is difficult to understand whether we feel affection for someone or not. Many teenagers request me to answer the question of how they can be aware of the fact that they like someone. My answer to them is very frank and I tell them that the minute the feeling occurs, you will automatically recognize it. It is as simple as that since it will be an altogether different emotion which you have not experienced before. You cannot say fascination for someone as love, even if you are always thinking about that person.

Lust is also compared to love but is not nearly as meaningful. Many of us have felt very strongly towards someone. You see them as being beautiful and attractive. Combining this lust with obsession can trap many people and will usually lead to an unfulfilling relationship.

The next subject is something many teens ask for advice on and I always give them this advice. Parents are always an issue when it comes to the love life of a teenager. Conservative parents generally think their teenage children shouldn't be dating and they often disapprove of a current boyfriend or girlfriend just on principle. The primary way to deal with this is to stay on good terms with your parents. If you don't it will make it all that more difficult.

At the end of the day, parents are always there to support you. Although it may not look that way to you, they have gone through all that you are going through today. They surely have more experience and knowledge. Just like your relationship with your boyfriend depends on communication, so is your relation with your parents. This is off paramount importance. If you try to hide everything from them and stay as nothing happened, this will only lead to lot more pain in the long run.

Since we are all thinking about it, lets review some great flirting hints. Speaking with someone is one of the simplest and most effective forms of flirting. As you are conversing with someone you must be aware of his or her reaction. Notice their body stance for hints as to how you are doing. During conversation eye contact is important. It is also important to portray a feeling of being comfortable and spontaneous, this goes a long way to making the other person feel comfortable. Show your happy side and enjoy yourself!
