Not Online Dating? You Should, 1 in 3 Women Put Out On 1st Date!

Research Study Reveal Women Love Sex As Much As Men The title statistic was determined by Dr. Paige Padgett at the University of Texas. Padgett's 2007 study entitled "Personal Safety and Sexual Safety for Women Using Online Personal Ads" was published in a widely respected journal of the National Sexuality Research Center (Research & Social Policy Journal).

Padgett's study involved 740 women who had placed online ads seeking men. The results of the study were quite compelling. Padgett found that over 30% of the women engaged in sex on the 1st date. And more surprising, of those women that had sex, 77% reported not using a condom during 1st date sex.

Virtual Intimacy Theory Dr. Padgett did not conclude that these women were sluts. Conversely, she found that women who would usually be careful did in fact participate in unprotected intercourse because they were lulled into a sense of virtual intimacy.

Padgett concludes that "virtual intimacy" was fostered by a high level of disclosure and frequency of e-mail exchanges with the men they eventual slept with on the 1st date. She discovered that before meeting face-to-face, the women exchanged information about their backgrounds, likes & dislikes, and even sexual preferences.

Dr. Padgett concludes it was the exchange of personal information that created "virtual intimacy". The women created a pseudo-relationship (whether or not one really existed) which resulted in sexual intimacy more quickly than usual.

So What Does This Mean For Men? The essential message for guys: Begin Online Dating Today! It's less expensive than going to bars and clubs and you will have more success and have sex on 1st dates more often. But definitely use protection.

My Interpretation of Padgett & Her Study: She is overly Paternalistic in her conclusions. She paints women as prey and men as predators who trick women into feeling secure and fool women with so-called "virtual intimacy". BullShit!!

Applying Common Sense To Padgett's Study Let's apply common sense and give women the credit they deserve. Women who date online know exactly what they want. They want to find attractive mates that meet their dating criteria. They select one or several potential mates from the endless number that constantly email them. Then they asked a series questions to determine whether this particular male meets their criteria. If so, it's on!

If you scrutinize the data you'll see what's really occurring here. The women in Dr. Padgett's study are the ones speeding up the sexual relationship. The women in her study (and all online women daters) try to gather as much info about their potential mates as possible. And they do all of this info aggregation before meeting face-to-face, by email or over the telephone.

Why? For one reason: to allow themselves to participate in naked time as soon as possible. When a woman finally convinces herself that a man meets her dating qualifications she will have sex with him. In Padgett's study, the women had decided after reading email and having telephone conversations that they would sleep with their dates on their first meeting because the man in question had met her qualifications or at least enough of them for sex!

Using Padgett's Study To Your Advantage. In sum, women love sex just as much as you do. However, the most important piece of information that I've learned from my online dating experiences which is supported by Padgett's research: Women need to convince themselves that you meet their dating criteria and that you are a Quality Guy.

Not understanding this fact leads many guys to shoot themselves in the foot. They wrongly believe that they need power, fame, or money to have success with women. My secret that is supported by Padgett's work: To be successful in online dating requires only that do not disqualify yourself. Women have dating qualifications yes. Women have all sorts of questions, yes.

However, women only require that you reply to their questions or hold yourself out in fairly open manner in order for them to say to themselves, "Hey this gentleman seems normal, he's available, and he's mine." At this point, they'll grant themselves permission to have sex with you.
