Everyone know at least one person in ther lives that is suffereing for a heart condition or diabetes. It's is becoming a more frequent occurence among us. Increasing your blood circulation is a good preventative measure and here we have a few methods for achieving better circulation.

Regular exercise is essential. Although your doctor has doubtless counselled you on this, do you get out and actually do it? Many people intend to get exercise, but if you're older or just not into an active lifestyle, old habits die hard. It's easy to give it a shot and then gradually taper off.

Find an activity that you enjoy and that you are able to do. Aerobics, for instance, would probably be difficult for someone with a heart condition. Even going for a walk everyday can not only help blood circulation, but lower blood pressure also.

There are many herbs available that can have a significant effect on you blood circulation. These include hawthorne berries, rosmary (to stabilize blood pressure, cayenne pepper (tones blood vessels) and Garlic (lowers colesterol). I recommend checking with your GP on what is suitable for you.

Changing you diet can also indirectly have a significant effect on improving your blood pressure.

Vitamin E is a particularly important nutrient in regards to improving blood circulation. Both heart and diabetes patients have been shown to be typically deficient in Vitamin E. Numerous studies have shown that an adequate supply of this nutrient decreases the body's need for oxygen, dissolves clots and helps stimulate the formation of blood vessels that bypass clots. Good sources of Vitamin E include avocados, unrefined vegetable oils and many nuts. Vitamin E is also an antioxidant, protecting vitamins A, D and K from being lost or destroyed.

Three of the B vitamins, cholin, inositol and vitamin B6 are instrumental in regulating blood cholesterol. Deficiencies of these vitamins are correlated with an increase in blood cholesterol levels and atherosclerosis. Sufficient amounts of these important vitamins are necessary for improved circulation and healthy vessels.

A study was done in the 50's that proves that diet with a good balance of these vitamins reduced likelyhood of heart attacks and diabetes, and for those who had the illinesses significantly reduce the medication required to control them. Patients also reported having more energy.

It is possible to improve blood circulation very simply by improving your diet and adding exercise to you routine. Speak to you GP for further advice.
