You must have reasons and the willingness to change your eating habits and lifestyle. Plan to make the changes with the right motives, and plan to throw out your junk food ways for more healthier wholesome food options - and more physical activity.

Listed below are 5 tips you should get onto now to lose stomach fat-

1. Plan you meals - plan in advance, and plan to have 4 to 6 healthy mini meals a day. Therefore plan your meals for the week, then shop for the weeks grocery - and cook 2 to 3 days in advance. It's all about preparation and getting your healthy meals set. Do it this way, and you will stay away from the unhealthier options of junk food and fast foods.

2. Use smaller plates: research has found that most of us feel full when out plate is empty, regardless of how much we eat. And when you have 4 to 6 healthy mini meals a day, you will not be hungry. Control the cravings and you will lose the stomach fat.

3. Make meals more satisfying by including two to four portions of high protein foods (like poultry, fish, low fat dairy foods, beans, eggs and tofu) daily. But don't overdo it - eating more protein than you need won't help you lose weight faster. Comes down to eating in moderation.

4. Stick to one ingredient meals like chicken. Stay away from processed foods like white bread and fries - and cut out liquid calories like coke and diet coke. Plan to eat more wholesome foods that are natural and drink more water. The more natural the food - the healthier it is.

5. High intensity workout - forget wasting hours at the gym on the treadmill. You will get more fat loss results from interval training and strength training. not only are there more challenging to the body, it requires less time for more fat results than the standard steady state cardio. If you are unfit - start slow with walking and gradually up your intensity over time.

Always pace yourself and be patient. The last thing you want to focus on is fast fat loss results. It is not realistic and safe. Long term, if you lay one brick at a time to your efforts - you'll achieve far grater results.
