Magic coin tricks can be relatively easy to learn and are fun to perform. They take some practice to perfect, but it is worth it.

For this magic coin trick you will need two coins. I recommend that you use a penny and a nickel.

You'll need a volunteer for this trick. Press a coin into the hand of someone in your audience. They need to hold the coin with their palm flat and facing upwards.

You will then explain to the person that you will grab the coin before they can close their fingers around it. You will hold your hand with your fingers slightly separated over the palm of the person with the coin.

Using your thumb and first three fingers, you will very quickly try to take the coin.

Your volunteer is going to think they can be a lot faster than you. They'll be further encouraged when they still feel this circular, flat object in the palm of their hand. But, it turns out to be another coin!

It can be a lot of fun to learn magic coin tricks, but occasionally you'll need help from someone who knows what you're doing. So ask someone to assist you, and make sure it's a friend who won't reveal your secret.

You will want to put a coin in your friend's hand and put the other coin on your palm in the crease between your thumb and forefinger. Hold your hand so it looks like you are going to grab the other's coin.

When you reach for the coin, tell your friend to slowly close their fingers since you still need to get the hang of this. Then you'll take the coin and just as quickly drop the coin you've been palming into their hand, in the same exact spot the other coin was.

Now tell your friend that they can close their fingers over the coin. The more you practice, the faster you'll get, and the harder it will be for your friend to close their hand in time.

Once you've got that coin trick down pat, you can attempt to do it before an audience. Don't stop the trick by showing off the coin that you took from the volunteer. Instead, let them open their first on their own to see that the coin is different.

Magic coin tricks like this are popular with kids.
