One of the best special effects contact lenses on the market are vampire contact lenses. They are particularly popular at Halloween of course, but they can be equally effective for theatrical purposes. If you are in your local play or involved with any thespian activity, vampire contact lenses can be a very effective addition to your makeup toolbox. If you feel a bit mischievous of course, you can always pop them in when you have visitors knock on your door. Vampire contact lenses can be used by anybody whether they need vision correction or not, but equally, if you want lenses with vision correction, then the special effects lenses that you buy over the counter will not help you. If you follow the proper guidelines for contact lens care, you will prevent infection and damage to the eye. Always make sure that your hands are clean before inserting or removing the lenses, always clean the lenses before storing them, and never share your lenses with anyone else. Equally, never borrow anyone else's lenses either. Eye infections can be very serious, and two sure ways to catch an infection are lack of hygiene and sharing lenses.

As a final word of caution, remember that when you are at a function or a party, keep an eye out for any other party goer's wearing vampire contact lenses. Pay particular attention when they take their lenses out. If for any reason, their eyes look the same with the lenses out as the lenses in, turn round and run like crazy!
