Game cheats for the Nintendo Wii are becoming increasing popular, but is this a good or a bad thing? Let's explore the reasons behind using cheat codes for the Wii so can decide for yourself if you should use them.
The Nintendo Wii game console was created for people that were growing increasingly alienated by the complicated game play and instructions for the newer video games. In many occasions, video games have turned into movie like sequences where the player was allowed to only perform limited tasks. In these types of games all of the imagination, skill, and fun had been removed from the games.
What computer and video game producers saw as the latest state of the art games, others saw as a huge step backwards in game play and interactivity. The Nintendo Wii was specifically designed to solve these constraints by bringing fun and interactivity back in to the gaming market. They actually took this interactivity to a level that had never been seen before and have attracted a whole new breed of gamers.
Never before outside of an arcade have people become so involved in video game play and never before have people been forced to get off their armchairs to play video games. However, it was without surprise that this new revolution would soon get flooded by Wii game cheats for all those that wanted them.
What are Cheat codes?
Game cheats are special sequences of codes that you can get off the Internet, or from gaming magazines. You can then enter the codes into your Wii console. These codes then allow you to gain special abilities within a game, or even bypass certain sections or levels of a game altogether.
Are Game Cheats a bad thing then?
It's a fact that cheating can take a lot of the fun out of video gaming and people that create or use the Wii cheat codes are usually those that miss the point of video games. Playing Wii games is all about the interaction and skills of the player, so to use cheats to try and get an artificial advantage just to finish the game sooner is something that most gamers will not do. Why? Because it can ruin the game by taking the challenge and fun out of it for the player(s) involved. If you use cheats for this reason then you will simply miss out on many of the things that the Wii was built to do. Also, don't forget that by cheating you will finish a game sooner which means you are wasting money on your games.
Game Cheats do have their benefits...
Have you ever been so frustrated by part of a game that you cannot complete it, and no matter how hard you try you just cannot get any further in the game? Well rather than give up on the game, a game cheat code can be a very handy solution to getting through the tricky level you are stuck on. You may only be 10% into a game when you get stuck and about to completely give up on it, but by using a cheat code you can get to the next level allowing you to get much more gameplay than otherwise possible.
Trying Not to Cheat
Nintendo Wii video games are developed for optimum player interaction and in most circumstances cheats are designed to give someone an unfair advantage. It doesn't make sense to cheat just because you can. By removing the skill and interaction from a game you don't have much left.
I would recommend you avoid cheat codes for the Wii, unless you really struggle to get through a level and need a bit of help. You should always try and play the games the way they were meant to be played and cheating just for the sake of it takes most of the fun away.
