You may already know that the number of affiliate programs out there is actually very large. There are new programs coming to the world everyday. However, some of these programs may just be scams. One of the things you should do at the first place is to check the affiliate programs thoroughly. By doing that the chance of being scammed will be a lot smaller. You should never join a program which does not provide support to its affiliates. Besides, you should only join a program if there is a valid offline address.

A good affiliate program will certainly provide you with a tracking system of some kind. In most cases it will be a real time system. You can also search on the web. You can search the name of the program with the word scam in Google. And you will check the web pages of the search results. However, you have to remember that some of these web pages may be biased.

The key of avoiding affiliate scams is to check thoroughly before making the decision of joining a program. Of course you should ask questions in webmaster forums if you are not sure about the program. You will be able to find a good program if you can bear the above points in mind.
