First of all, you have to make sure that you can find affiliate programs with related products. This is very important since you will pre sell different products. Pre selling one and only one product will not work. You may also want to purchase some useful products or articles with resale rights so that you can send them to your subscribers.

You will certainly fail if you only try to promote the affiliate products. You are sending useful information to the subscribers instead of sending them sales letters. Promoting the affiliate products along with the information will probably be the best.

At the same time, you may also try to sell some products that you have purchased with resale rights. This is extremely important for marketers who would like to have their own lines of products. In most cases, you can invite the subscribers to join a bargain list and you will sell the products to subscribers who have join the bargain list. The subscribers will tend to join the list when they know there will be discounts.

It will be even better if you try to promote affiliate products with recurring income. In most cases, products with monthly subscription fees will fall into this category.

As a matter of fact, products such as vitamins and weight loss pills are usually affiliate products which can grant you recurring income. This is because the customers will need to take them in a regular basis.

Be sure to promote different products in each newsletter you are sending to your subscribers. There is no point to pre sell the same thing again and again. And as mentioned, it will only make the subscribers develop a negative attitude towards the products you are promoting. As a result, you should try to rotate the products. You may also promote various combinations of products so that it will not look the same every time your subscribers read your newsletter. If you have 10 products to sell, you can simply make a 10 issue cycle so that subscriber will only see the same product every 10 issues.
