Of course you do not just build the list, you will need to send messages to your subscribers. Yet, you have to remember that each message should contain bother the HTML and plain text versions. This is because some email clients will not accept emails in HTML format.
Be sure to use an autoresponder. In fact, there is no point in not using one. You will be just wasting your time if you do not use it. And it is very time consuming for you to send the message out one by one.
Nowadays, a lot of people will install a spam filter of some kind. Even the ISPs will have their own spam filters. As a result, you have to check if your message will be blocked. It is very important to make sure that your messages will not be blocked otherwise you will be just wasting your effort.
You should give some useful information to your subscribers otherwise they will lose the interest to read your messages receiving them for a few times. You can write something related to the products you are promoting. You may also try to write some how-to's in your message.
One other point you must bear in mind is that you should never forget to include your signature in the message. This is very important to remind your subscriber who you are.
Undoubtedly, you will include your URL and name in the signature file. In some case you may need to add your company name into. You should never make your signature more than five lines.
You should also remember to include your real name, as well as your physical address in the email. These are required by Law. You should also put a link at the end of each email so that people who receive the emails can have an option to unsubscribe.
