Being in business and owning a business, the cheapest and fastest way of getting your name out there is the business card. This little card projects your image, which many entrepreneurs have spent years developing. Unfortunately many people that receive your card think its just an add.

With people that get cards all the time, you card is probably not any different to others. Actually they may look at getting your card as a bit of annoyance more litter for their pocket.

I think that you would agree, having your card kept and read is an absolute necessity as a way of getting business. Even if it is because you have spent energy, effort and time handing out your card.

HOW to get them to keep your Card

To find the secret lets think why you would keep other peoples card.

1: Lots of people use cards to link to hard to get products, they will never throw away the card of a person or service supplier that they need.

2:You may want to keep them so that you can use the contact as a intermediate for a friend or another contact, a stepping stone if you will.

3:.Would you keep a card that supplied a product or service that a relative or friend could possibly use now or in the future. (Of coarse)

You now know that while designing and handing out your card people may also be using it for non-business reasons, just something else to keep in mind.

Unfortunately people see business cards as just a contact card and miss a great marketing opportunity. An opportunity that may never come back .

For instance if you sell trade supplies you can put conversion tables or calculations that will be helpful to trades man.

There are lots of great suggestions to getting people to keep your card, but in general they all have to do with having great and useful information lade out in a handy format.

So no matter how you choose to design your card make the information relevant and useful and make you contact details easy to find. Always remember your card could be used by many different people, so design for a broad audience of users. Remember make those Business cards do the sale for you.
