You may have spent days or even months to create your website. Now everything looks perfect. And you will need to find some ways to promote it. One of the ways you may consider is to promote it by writing articles. Yes, you can promote your website by writing and submitting articles.

You may think that it is difficult to write the articles. There is no strict rule for the contents of the articles. However, it is generally agreed that informative articles will be one of the best types of articles. You will be providing useful information to the readers on the products or services you are trying to promote.

After you finished writing the articles, you will need to distribute them. Some people will choose to submit to the articles directories one by one manually. You will need to find these directories. Fortunately, some webmasters have created lists of them and share them on some forums.

Alternatively, you can use the article distribution services to distribute your articles. There are also some article submitting software you can use. The idea of the distribution services or submission software is to speed up the process of submission so that you can have more time to focus on other works.

In the case of manual submission, you will not need to pay any fee unless you hire someone to submit for you. Yet you have to be prepared to pay if you use software or distribution services. However, you can submit the articles to more that 300 directories without a lot of effort if you use the latter. As a result, you may still choose the latter even if you have to pay.

Before you submit your articles, be very sure that you have a good bio box that will allow your readers to click through to your website.

Besides promoting your website, there are some other advantages of article marketing. First of all, you can establish an image of expert in your niche. This is very important because the readers will be very inclined to trust you if they think you are an expert in the field.

Article marketing can also help you to boost the PR, or Page Rank, of your website. This is due to the back links in the articles. You may have already known the importance of PR in search engine optimization. Your site will be able to rank well in Google.

One last thing is that, the articles themselves can help to bring traffic to your site. You need to make the articles as informative as possible. When the web surfers read your articles, they will probably find that very useful. They will be interested to read more or to know more about the topics. They will in turn click on the links and visit your site in order to seek for more information. And as a result you will get more traffic.
