Make sure you really know what the whole point of a squeeze page is. It is the marketing effort to get people to sign up for your opt in list. When done properly, they can quickly build multiple lists of members to whom you can offer a variety of products and services. Here are a few method you can use to boost your opt-in rates.
Offer an incentive - Give them a reason to opt in. Offer a free gift when they sign up, but make sure the gift is something valuable that they will really want and that they cannot get anywhere else. More the value, higher will be your opt-in rate. Do not just throw away something you downloaded years ago that nobody is interested in. Offer something new and exciting. Special reports work very well.
Target top keywords - Make sure that you use your squeeze pages to target the best keywords you have. If you need to do more keyword research to find out the best keywords then do so before getting your squeeze page ready. Each squeeze page should be optimized for one or two keywords or phrases for maximum effectiveness.
Build customer confidence - Use your squeeze page to help give your customers confidence in you. You want to make sure that you make them feel at ease with you and that they feel like they can trust in you and your product. If possible, add a couple of genuine customer testimonials to your squeeze page. They are effective.
Have a target market - The biggest mistakes marketers make is to target the entire world or a very broad category. Narrow your audience and target a specific niche. You are more likely to get signups. You may have to do some market research so you can define your target market.
Make the customer feel secure and safe - Let the customers know that you have their safety in mind. Tell them about how safe it is to shop with you and back that up by giving them the proof they are safe. Never forget to prominently display your privacy policy on your squeeze page.
Have a simple layout - Do not have strange things all over the page. Make it a simple layout that is easy to follow. Avoid navigation buttons totally and focus your reader's attention only on one thing - your opt-in form. Do not distract their attention to other parts of your website.
State the purpose - Make sure that the visitor knows that point of this page. State it right away. Let them know what they will be getting. This is also known as "call to action". Mention what you want your visitors to do when they come to your squeeze page. Do you want them to provide their name and email? Click a link? Call a phone number? Send you a fax? Tell them.
