Today's topic is: How to tap the profit power of niche marketing.

Today's topic is: How to tap the profit power of niche marketing.

A lot of people think the time for profiting from niche marketing is over. Frank Kern and Ed Dale certainly popularized this approach with their "Underachiever" course. Since that course is no longer available, many wrongly assume that niche marketing no longer works.

Nothing could be further from the truth! Niche marketing still works and you can still make A LOT of money doing it. In fact, I have a friend who has some niche websites in obscure markets that make him about $8000 a month, and his business is growing every month because he uses the principles of good marketing. Basic things you can learn from various Internet marketing teachers.

Dr. Andrew Jones started out as my client. Over time, he became my student and my friend. He started in a niche market with a small $27 e-book that has grown into a $15,000 per month business. His business is still growing, too.

Want to know how it works? Through my coaching program, I can teach you how you can draw on niche markets. There are still spaces available for the next course. Visit this site at www.rayedwards.com/letmein, 5k In 30 Days, for more information. I can't wait to see you there!

I didn't write this article to sell you my coaching program. I want to sell you an idea - that niche marketing works, and can help you cash in. I'm offering you five simple steps to build your niche, quickly and easily. Of course, this is a broad overview of a complex topic, but these simple steps can get you on your way without spending any money or undertaking a long study of marketing. You'll have to put some work into it, but you already knew that, right? Too bad you can't just push a button and have money spit out of your CD-ROM.

Here are your 5 steps to building a niche market:

Locate a product. I say "locate", not "create", because many people are scared off by the thought of creating their own products. That's too bad, because creating product is actually pretty easy. To locate your product, look for private label rights packages that allow you to re-publish something that was already created. Now, you may shy away from this idea, thinking that the products aren't worth a lot, or perhaps everyone has seen them, or that they don't work. You may be startled to discover that very few people actually use these products! You can have a ready-made product in almost no time - simply change the graphics and title, repackage the product, and voila! It's easy and fast, and you can do it all in less than an hour. I promise!

Set up your sales page and testing software. Most private label rights packages come with a pre-written sales page. Ideally, you don't want to use this forever, but it's a good place to start; then you can test it using Google's Website Optimizer and tweak it to improve your sales.

Accept payments through Paypal or Clickbank. Both of these sites will process payments for a small fee. Don't drive yourself crazy setting up your site to accept credit cards - these folks make it quick, easy, secure, and inexpensive.

Use Adwords to move traffic to your site. Start an Adwords account with Google. They offer great tutorials, so it's easy to use.

Repeat!

One final piece of advice: Don't pick "How to make money online" as your niche market. Not that it isn't a good market - a lot of people make a lot of money in this market, but it is so competitive! Pick a market that's less competitive and your competition will be less sophisticated and probably less hard-working than you are. Just a little bit of advice for you to think about.
