Anyone who has tried internet marketing knows there are several things that may work against them: They are almost always working by themselves, they are constantly being bombarded with new products and systems, and it will be quite tempting to move from one product or system to another. How do you deal with these and succeed online?

Anyone who has tried internet marketing knows there are several things that may work against them: They are almost always working by themselves, they are constantly being bombarded with new products and systems, and it will be quite tempting to move from one product or system to another. How do you deal with these and succeed online?
Discipline Must Be A High Priority
Working from home really does have it's own set of obstacles as opposed to the typical office job. The television is right there. You see the highlights of The Masters being re-broadcast and since you had to clean the yard yesterday and missed most of it, you decide to see what you missed. Important tasks may get pushed aside. This would never happen at the office because there are people watching over you. You must keep that TV out of the office and turned off. Close the door, keep all distractions at bay and get to work. The checks will soon follow.
Working at home can get lonely. Again remain disciplined and always maintain a good deal of control of your time. Time is money and the time you set aside for work must remain productive. As internet marketers, one thing we like to do is sign up on lists. It's just in our blood. We are always looking for things to assist us in our journey. That's fine, but just make sure to only sign up on lists that are relevant to what we do. Spending hours sifting through emails will not produce checks.
If you keep the subscriptions to a handful or so, this is manageable. If something truly important were develop in your field, you will hear of it. Sorting out email subscriptions will not be the best use of your time.
Every time you turn around, you see the new product or piece of information that is ESSENTIAL for your success. Please don't panic and think you "must have this". Most of what is thrown at you is "yesterday's news". It's the same old e-books and software made to look new. Save your money for more useful purchases
Every now and again a new product or service will come around that will actually provide a genuine benefit to you and increase your productivity, If that is the case, then investigate further and if there are no red flags, make the purchase. Any investment that increases productivity is a wise one.
Make sure your decision is not based on the testimonials alone. If possible, make sure the testimonials are from actual purchasers of the product and not other sellers of the product.
Focus Focus Focus
Focus will be very difficult to maintain if you lack a sound business plan. You want to spend a substantial amount of time building this plan. This is something that should not be taken lightly. Once you are satisfied with the plan, do everything in your power to remain faithful to it.
It will normally take some time for positive results to make themselves known. Make sure you give your well thought out plan a fair amount of time. Becoming bored with the day to day tasks is not a justifiable reason to change your plan.
There are some things you can do to avoid becoming bored with some of the routine daily procedures you will be performing. Make sure you change the order of procedures around every so often. Make up a new schedule so you change the order of tasks around. Everybody needs some variety. Also try networking with other home business owners every now an again. Sometimes the best advice is free.
Renewing your focus on a solid business plan is a much more productive idea than trading one business plan for another and then another etc. In a year's time, your income will be much less than it could have been because you were hopping from one plan to the next.
