Not only is an organic natural baby soap kind and safe for your child's skin, but it is also kind for the environment as well. The reason why such soaps are safe to be used on children's skin is that they contain only natural ingredients, which are highly unlikely to cause them to irritate a child's skin.

Today there are numerous different kinds of natural organic baby soaps that one can buy. But what you may find that where one soap suits one child it may not actually suit yours so you may need to try several before you find the right one. Yet even though you would be mainly using these kinds of soaps on your newborn baby these can also be used by other members of the family also.

The one problem with actually buying organic natural soaps for babies that have been made commercially is that they can prove to be very expensive. If you would like to ensure that, you are only using the best products and save money then why not think about making your own soap instead. In order to make your own you will need 2 saucepans, some gloves and goggles as well as the ingredients to make the soap with. Below are the steps that one will need to take in order to make your own soap using only natural organic ingredients.

Step 1 - You need to get together all the ingredients to make the soap. For this particular soap, you will need 15 ounces of organic olive oil, 5 ounces of organic palm oil, 5 ounces of organic coconut oil as well as 3.5 ounces of lye and 8 ounces of water.

Step 2 - Once you have already the ingredients together, you need to pour the water into the pan and to this very slowly add the lye. As the lye comes into contact with the water, you will notice that not only does it give off fumes but also causes the water to become hot. After you have added the lye to the water allow it to stand in a safe position under it has cooled down to room temperature.

Step 3 - Once the lye mixture has reached room temperature you can now very slowly begin to add the other ingredients (oils) that are mentioned above to it. First of all these need to be heated before they actually get added to the lye mixture and it is a good idea to have a thermometer that you can use to ensure that they have reached the right temperature.

Step 4 - Once the oils have reached the correct temperature, the pan needs to be removed from the heat and placed on a surface so that you can then begin to add the prepared lye mixture. Initially when mixing the oils and lye together it is best to use a wooden spoon, but once all have been combined then you use a stick blender instead. Using a stick blender will actually get the mixture to the right consistency for pouring into moulds quicker. If you choose to stir the mixture by hand, it can take as long as an hour before you see the mixture thicken and become opaque.

Step 5 - However if you are stirring the mixture by hand it can take up to an hour before the mixture is ready for being able to transfer to a soap mould. But once it is then you will need to leave your organic natural baby soap to stand for the next 24 hours in order for it to harden and then after this you will be able to use it.
