In my honest opinion, the kiai being made in Tanemura Soke’s seminar is beautiful! With proper use, it is quite intimidating.
As a Neo-ninja I learn a few tricks from these Ninjutsu vids you post, but at least I give credit where its due like some of the others here. I looked up Kawakami-dono, on his Japanese website to represent his school he shows that he got the official Iemitsu system sign of approval as the current head of the Koka-Ryu Ban Family Ninpo sect. You know Fujita Seiko? His art was the Wada-ha system of Koga-ryu Ninpo, Kawakami teaches the Banke or Ban Family system.
Kawakami is a ninjer…The clips that are up of him are terriable..His tai-jutsu is atroutious…
I attended all three days of the seminar and it was excellent. One of the things that we all must do is show respect to each other. It was wonderful that so many different schools of Ninjitsu were represented at the seminar held at Drew University. It was also very encouraging to see members of academia hold a panel discussion that allowed for direct questioning of Kawakami Sensei and Kiyamoto Sensei his chief student. The translation between Japanese and English was excellent.
I was there and Mr Skoss did observed some of the physical training and techniques on Sunday the third day and I spoke to him personally about his feeling of Kawakami and he responded in the positive about his legitimacy.
The 1st day was one of the most important days as Kawakami allowed him self to be questioned on his claims. The reports I read after ward said Skoss believed Kawakami was legit based on the information presented. So there is no being disingenuous here.
I am talking about what you said about Mr. Skoss, not “scootbaioisdead.” Mr. Skoss took part only in the panel discussion on the first day and did not see any of the physical techniques or demonstrations that took place later. To use Mr. Skoss’ name as an imprimatur and to imply his full participation and approval of the entire event is at best disingenuous, at worst misleading.
No , he mis represented the facts of what happened at the seminar. And mis pronouncing some ones name is irrelevant and a weak argument. What matters is facts not how to pronounce names, how weak.
