The god news is that more and more research is being carried with regard to skin care and acne than ever before and there is now a wider range of acne products which are becoming available for you to use. The god news is that more and more research is being carried with regard to skin care and acne than ever before and there is now a wider range of acne products which are becoming available for you to use. But the tough part is deciding which of them is the right sort of acne product for you. Many acne products come with a variety of benefits and some have been tailored to your own particular needs than others.

When looking for an acne product you want one that is safe but effective as well as being easy to apply, that if there are any side effects associated with it they are manageable and when applied isn't messy or doesn't stain and will not make you look worse than you already are.

It is important to remember that what might be the right acne product for you may not be for someone else. Because there are so many products now available you will need to consider the different forms of products you can get. The more popular acne products over the last few decades have been topical antimicrobials and topical retinoids. However, more recently combination products have increased in popularity and hormone therapy is starting to gain popularity as an alternative way to treat acne.

However with the help of your dermatologist you should be able to find the product that is right for you but there are some issues that you will need to consider with them in selecting an acne product that is right for you and these should include:

1. Instead of a prescription would an over the counter product do as good a job?

2. What are the most effective remedies that you can get?

3. Can you treat multiple causes of acne with just one product?

4. What is easier for you to use? Lotions, creams, gels or maybe even a foam?

5. Are there any bonuses to using one type of form over another?

After talking to your dermatologist and considering these questions you should be able to make an informed decision on which product will work best for your treatment.
