Bacne is a term coined for back acne. Like other forms of acne, back acne can be pimples, cysts or blackheads. It can affect anyone of any age and gender. There are several ways to treat back acne as well as prevent it from appearing.

1 - Use an acne body wash instead of soap. An acne body wash is made specifically to remove bacteria and to prevent acne from occurring on the back. Usually an acne body wash is strong than a facial wash as the skin on the body is thicker and requires a stronger solution.

2 - Use a dry towel to pat on your back dry after shower. Do not rub on the acne area as this may aggravate it.

3 - It is best to wear cotton clothes whenever you can. Also you can try to put on some powder on your back to keep the area dry.

4 - Do not let perspiration stay on your body. This is so especially after exercise. Instead, wipe off the perspiration and change your clothes.

5 - Use Benzoyl Peroxide or AHA on your back. You will achieve faster results if you use both together. You can check out body wash that is specially made for body acne.

6 - Use a mild scrub or sea salt to exfoliate your back. This helps to get rid of dead skin cells and prevent any dirt build up. However, do not exfoliate if you have cystic acne on the back.

If you have very severe back acne, you may consider getting treatment from a dermatologist. However, before you do that, it is best to try out natural treatments and acne treatment products first as they are more cost effective and safer.
