All Ed Hardy pieces are based on the creations of legendary tattoo artist, Don Ed Hardy, who spent the early part of his career tattooing out of his San Francisco studio. Drawing inspiration from his life experiences, Ed Hardy's designs meld American, Japanese, Cholo, tattoo, surf and hotrod iconography. "The godfather of modern tattoo," Ed Hardy is known for his sophistication, depth and sense of experimentation.
The Ed Hardy brand began in 2002, when Hardy was approached by Ku USA, Inc., who were interested in producing a clothing line based on his artwork. The line immediately took off, catching the attention of anyone and everyone in the fashion world.
