Tampa is a large city situated in Hillsborough County, on the west coast of Florida. The Tampa Bay Area is composed of Tampa, St. Petersburg and Clearwater metropolitan area, one of the biggest metro areas in the state.
The combination of all those factors have attracted many residents to relocate to Tampa. Over a hundred thousand people are expected to move in to Tampa in the next several years, and you may be one of them. Another reason for Tampa's growth in population is the healthy amount of good job opportunities available there, not to mention the great sights and sounds that define the city.
If you are a young kid in your teens, one of the most important things you would probably look for in a city is its schools. In Tampa, there are numerous universities, colleges and high schools that provide excellent education. One of those great schools is the University of Tampa.
The University of Tampa is a private university of moderate size. It is built on a hundred acres of land right in the middle of Downtown Tampa. The school can handle as much as 5,000 students at once, with a healthy mix of students from different parts of the globe. Roughly half of the undergraduates in the university are Florida natives. Many of them reside in the university dormitory nearby.
The great thing about the University of Tampa is that it has a lot of choices to offer, with more than a hundred degree options for its undergraduates alone. It also offers post-graduate degrees, as well as graduate and doctorate programs. Their Master of Business Administration is one of the largest and most renowned in Florida.
University of Tampa students achieve academic excellence because the teachers not only focus on providing academic training, but more importantly, individual growth. Students learn quickly because they are pitted in real-world situations through various internships and community service programs.
The cost of studying at the University of Tampa is quite high, at more than $28,000 per year, but many of its students are given financial assistance from the university itself.
